There is another launcher for Win. Why peoples does not try to do directly DOS launcher for Blood and mods? I think its more useful and helps with mod installing.

I agree on DOS launcher, installer that do everything in 1 go of course.

On the other hand, running a BAT from windows is faster, so installer can work in 2 waysm installing of files in WIN and then must be run again in DOS.

At the beginning of BAT file there should be check if it runs in WIN or DOS, if WIN it will install files like sounds, voxel, seq, wav, pal, plu etc. it will write dummy file so install is done and message appears telling the user to run again but now in DOS from where it will run the game.

I could never get that to work. I mean, launcher would work and I could select weapon etc but the game would never start. That was 1 reason why I rescripted it. But in itself the launcher looked nice though.

Could you create sharpness effect with this? This looks interesting but i still not clear understand how it works. Its need to be used in real maps for full discovering.

Which one you mean? The 4 color movie or the transparency?

PLU (pal lookup) has got 64 shades of 1 palette. let's say a pixel is gray and you use palette 10 then the color index will be re-routed to a blue color that equals closest brightness. So the palette will not change but only the indexes.

TLU (translucency) file is 4 times bigger than PLU file, so 256 tables of 256 indexes. There are 2 types of translucency so that means 128 shades x 2? Not sure yet, I have to experiment more...

Parent sector is SLIDE, Child sector ROTATE. Bot sectors have the same Busytimes. Why does the rotating sector move with the slide only from OFF to ON and why is it only rotating when it is not moving with the slide (ON to OFF)?

In Duke3D's Build I remember this never to be no problem.

Actions you describe was created in official episodes (factory levels in 3-rd episode). Remember that lava pool and rotate-slide sector moves and rotates inside. There also was other unknown thing like sloping sector by command.

Do you mean E3M4? That sliding sector is also rotating because the the sprite in the tail of the blue arrow has got an angle of 1024 so it turns 90 degrees.

But that's 1 sector type doing 2 things. What I want is that a child sector is part of the parent sector. Duke had no problems with this but blood seem to have.
